🗺️ Marion’s Tiny PG Coverage Map Has Been Corrected

A big thank-you to JYD for spotting and reporting that the Marion, Illinois PG Map button was incorrectly opening the coverage map for Bismarck, North Dakota. Marion now opens its correct dedicated PG coverage map in the Tiny PG Cities of the U.S.A. list.

JYD also queried the Opelika map. Opelika’s photogrammetry sits just north-east of Auburn and is correctly included within the same shared coverage area, so no website-link change was required. The Google Drive map has simply been renamed Auburn & Opelika PG Coverage Map to make that clearer.

NEW DEDICATED PAGE — COMMUNITY SCREENSHOTS

📸 The Hangar’s Community Screenshots Is Now Live

The Hangar’s complete screenshot library now has its own dedicated page. Visitors can explore every collection, search by place or contributor, sort the gallery library, reveal more galleries at their own pace and open full-size screenshots in one polished hub, with individual contributor credits preserved throughout.

The huge repeated gallery dropdown has been replaced in the Main Flying Lists by a compact four-gallery teaser, while every individual city, park, POI, venue and airport card keeps its direct gallery button.

The launch also adds 37 Air Rhodessa With Add-ons night screenshots across nine dedicated After Dark galleries: Sydney, Adelaide, Atlanta, Auckland, Boston, Detroit, Gold Coast, Perth and Rio de Janeiro. Genuine Default screenshots will remain separate as they are added.

The reusable Community Submissions module now contains 772 screenshots across 188 locations, with every previous contribution and individual image credit preserved.

SCREENSHOT LIBRARY — 95 NEW AIR RHODESSA IMAGES

📸 Every Previously Missing Official POI Now Has Screenshot Coverage

The final batch of previously missing Official POI screenshots has now been completed. A further 82 Air Rhodessa images have been added to the PG Explorer Community Submissions module, finishing 28 new landmark galleries and expanding Meidum Pyramid with four additional views.

The completed batch includes landmarks across Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, India, Egypt and France, including Yokohama Landmark Tower, Tokyo Skytree, Grand Lisboa, the Baháʼí Lotus Temple, Konark Sun Temple and The Egyptian Museum.

Big Bend National Park has also received a new 13-image Air Rhodessa gallery. The full collection is now available from its National Parks card in the Main Flying Lists and through the PG Explorer gallery system.

The reusable Community Submissions module now contains 772 screenshots across 188 locations, with every previous community contribution, individual image credit and gallery override preserved.

A huge thank-you once again to everyone who has contributed screenshots. Official POI submissions are still very welcome whenever a new landmark appears or an existing gallery could benefit from more viewpoints.

PG EXPLORER v3.1 — BIGGER MAP-FIRST LAYOUT

🗺️ A Bigger, Cleaner Explorer Map Is Now Live

PG Explorer v3.1.0 has received a major layout redesign that makes much better use of the available screen space. The map now begins directly beneath two compact control rows, removing the large permanent blocks of controls that previously pushed the map much farther down the page.

Search, Reset Map, Fit Results, Discover, Filters, Focus Map, Full Screen, Share and My Account now sit in one streamlined top row. The seven main layers — PG Cities, Tiny PG, Parks, Scenic AOIs, POIs, Airports and Small Airfields — remain permanently available in a second slim row.

Ratings, awards, POI sources, Small Airfield runway filters, sorting, My Places, recent locations, map themes and accessibility options are all still included. They now open from a tidy Filters panel over the map instead of permanently taking up valuable vertical space.

The result is a much larger and more useful map area, especially on desktop and at higher display scaling, while every existing pin, gallery, search tool, shareable link, Logbook feature and cross-device account sync remains intact.

PRACTICALLY GEEK — AIRPORT SHOWCASE & MAIN LIST FIX

✈️ Bryan’s Airport Showcase Added Across the Hangar

A new Practically Geek airport showcase video is now featured in a full-size position at the top of Bryan’s Community Legends page, built around five Air Rhodessa airport picks from across the World Updates.

The featured airports are EDDM Munich International — WU18, EGPB Sumburgh — WU17, SBRJ Santos Dumont — WU19, RJFR Kitakyushu — WU20 and MKJS Sangster International — WU16.

The same video is now linked directly from the Rio de Janeiro and Munich cards in the Main Flying Lists, where SBRJ and EDDM match the surrounding photogrammetry cities. It has also been added to all five matching airport entries in the Official Collections handcrafted-airport list.

A separate Main Flying Lists fix is also live. Open rating sections from 10/10 through 1/10 are now preserved when the delayed Logbook/account cloud refresh runs, preventing the dropdown from closing and the page from suddenly jumping to the bottom while a city card is being viewed.

PG EXPLORER — NEW SMALL AIRFIELD FILTERS

🛩️ Find the Right GA Airfield in Seconds

The optional Small Airfields layer in PG Explorer now has its own dedicated filtering tools, making it much easier to narrow the map down to airfields that suit a particular aircraft or style of general-aviation flying.

Users can filter by hard or paved runways, grass or soft surfaces, mixed hard and soft layouts or airfields whose surface is still unconfirmed. Minimum runway-length choices of 1,500 ft, 2,500 ft, 4,000 ft and 6,000 ft are also available.

A new one-click GA Paved · 1,500 ft+ preset applies the most requested combination instantly. With the current Explorer data, that preset identifies 811 suitable small airports and airfields from around the world.

The filters affect only the Small Airfields layer, update the live result count, appear in shareable Explorer links and can be cleared individually or through Reset Map.

A big thank-you to @PlaneHolland for suggesting the runway-surface and minimum-length filter idea. It is exactly the kind of practical community request that helps make PG Explorer more useful for real flight planning.

LITTLE NAVMAP — 2,069 SMALL AIRFIELDS

🛩️ Detailed Small Airports & Airfields Companion Pack Released

A new standalone PG Hangar Little Navmap companion pack is now available, adding 2,069 searchable and filterable small-airfield userpoints across 66 countries.

The imported layer allows Little Navmap users to display only the airports and airfields featured in the PG Hangar’s Detailed Small Airports & Airfields collection, rather than searching through every airport in the simulator database.

Each entry includes its airport name and identifier, coordinates, elevation, runway dimensions, surface information and a direct link back to the matching PG Hangar page. The layer can be searched, shown, hidden or removed independently from Little Navmap’s normal airport database.

This is a separate companion download to the existing 2,030-POI Little Navmap Pack. Users can install either collection on its own or use both together for the complete PG Hangar Little Navmap setup.

PG EXPLORER SUBMISSIONS — 98 NEW SCREENSHOTS

🌍 31 Missing International POIs Receive Full Air Rhodessa Galleries

Another 98 screenshots captured by Air Rhodessa have now been added to the reusable PG Explorer Community Submissions module, completing visual galleries for 31 previously uncovered landmarks from across the world.

The new collection spans historic sites, modern towers, museums, palaces and unusual aerial landmarks. Highlights include The Ziggurat of Dur-Kurigalzu, Tomb of Cyrus the Great, Great Ziggurat of Ur, Dolmabahçe Palace, Ruwanweli Maha Seya, ArtScience Museum, Gardens by the Bay, Moscow State University, Lincoln Memorial and the Space Needle.

The Community Submissions collection now contains 623 screenshots across 147 locations, with every new gallery and image carrying the correct Air Rhodessa credit while all earlier community contributions remain fully preserved.

This update also corrects Ruwanweli Maha Seya to 8°21′0″N, 80°23′47″E. The Meidum Pyramid entry now retains its original Arabic name alongside the English title, ensuring its new gallery connects to the correct Explorer card.

HANDCRAFTED AIRPORTS — 69 NEW SCREENSHOTS

📸 Five Major Airport Galleries Receive Their Final Screenshot Expansions

Another 69 screenshots captured by Air Rhodessa have now been added across five major handcrafted airports, giving each one a much richer visual gallery in both Official Collections and the PG Explorer Handcrafted Airports module.

Cape Town International — FACT receives 13 new images and now has 14 screenshots; Heathrow — EGLL receives 17 and now has 18; Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez — LEMD receives 14 and now has 15; O’Hare International — KORD receives 14 and now has 15; and San Francisco International — KSFO receives 11 and now has 12.

The handcrafted-airport collection now contains an incredible 1,434 screenshots across 169 airport galleries, with the same updated galleries available from the Official Collections airport cards and through PG Explorer.

Every new image carries the correct Air Rhodessa credit and all existing airport galleries, contributor images and Bryan’s Practically Geek showcase links have been preserved.

FINAL HANDCRAFTED AIRPORT BATCH — 219 NEW SCREENSHOTS

✈️ Air Rhodessa’s Final Planned Handcrafted-Airport Screenshot Batch Is Complete

The final planned Air Rhodessa handcrafted-airport screenshot batch has now been completed, adding 219 new screenshots across 32 newly completed airport galleries to both Official Collections and PG Explorer.

This final wave includes a huge range of locations, from major international gateways to historic and challenging airfields, including Zürich, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Dubai, Frankfurt, Heathrow, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta, Kai Tak, Meigs Field, Princess Juliana and many more.

The Air Rhodessa handcrafted-airport collection now contains an incredible 1,365 screenshots across 169 airport galleries, with lead thumbnails and full galleries available throughout the Hangar.

Together with the previous handcrafted-airport updates, this completes the major screenshot run I set out to finish and leaves the collection ready for lighter maintenance and future simulator updates.

✈️ 245 New Air Rhodessa Screenshots Added Across 29 Handcrafted Airports

Another major handcrafted-airport screenshot batch is complete, adding 245 new screenshots across 29 newly completed airport galleries, all captured by Air Rhodessa and added to both Official Collections and PG Explorer.

The new galleries cover everything from remote island strips and dramatic mountain approaches to regional airports and international gateways, including Svalbard, Stockholm Arlanda, Stuttgart, St. Gallen–Altenrhein, Nice Côte d'Azur, Rotterdam The Hague, Liverpool John Lennon, Bolzano, A Coruña, Barra and many more.

The complete Air Rhodessa handcrafted-airport collection now contains 1,146 screenshots across 137 airport galleries. Every previous gallery, screenshot, Explorer key and contributor credit has been preserved.

This is another huge step towards giving every handcrafted airport its own full visual showcase, lead thumbnail and easy-to-browse gallery across the Hangar.

Another excellent community batch has now been added to the Hangar, with 28 new screenshots across seven previously missing European POIs, all captured and supplied by @OliveAmoeba3772.

Seven complete new galleries are now available for Amsterdam Centraal railway station, Westerkerk, Isola Bella, Passo Dello Stelvio, Main Square in Krakow, the Museum of King Jan III's Palace at Wilanów and the Palace of Culture and Science.

These additions fill another group of gaps across PG Explorer and bring the reusable community submissions collection to 519 screenshots across 114 POIs.

Ten completely new galleries have been added for Newgrange, Old Bagan, Temple Mount, the Acropolis of Athens, Hungarian Parliament Building, Indonesia Convention Exhibition, Al Hamra Tower, Ericsson Globe, Faisal Mosque and Keangnam Landmark Tower 72.

FIXED — PG EXPLORER ILLUSTRATED GUIDE

📘 The “How to Use the PG Explorer Map” Guide Is Working Again

A temporary homepage-to-guide issue has now been corrected. The Full Illustrated Guide button in the PG Explorer welcome window had been reopening the Explorer instead of loading the guide page.

The correct illustrated-guide module has been restored and republished, so the button now opens the complete walkthrough covering search, filters, map pins, location panels, My Places, galleries, sharing, mobile use and common questions.

A permanent How to Use the PG Explorer Map card has also been added to the homepage’s More Maps, Tools & Lists section, making the guide easy to find whenever a refresher is needed.

🗺️ The PG Hangar’s 2,030-POI Little Navmap Pack Is Now Live

The complete Air Rhodessa’s PG Hangar Little Navmap POI Pack is now available as a free direct download, bringing 2,030 worldwide points of interest and landmarks into Little Navmap for route planning and sightseeing discovery.

The release ZIP includes the complete importable CSV, organised source files, installation and update instructions, a changelog and full PG Hangar credits. Import it through Userpoints → Import CSV in Little Navmap; it does not go in the MSFS Community folder.

A permanent download card has also been added to the homepage’s More Maps, Tools & Lists section, so the pack remains easy to find after this NOTAM moves down the bulletin.

COMMUNITY-REPORTED CORRECTION — PG CITY DATA

🇸🇰 Košice Corrected to Slovakia Across the Hangar

A country-list error affecting Košice has now been corrected. The city had accidentally been placed under Slovenia in the PG Cities by Country collection, although Košice is correctly located in Slovakia.

Košice now appears in its own Slovakia 🇸🇰 section, while the Slovenia section correctly contains Ljubljana and Maribor. The PG Explorer Map and homepage search data were also checked and standardised to use the proper spelling Košice.

Its existing 9/10 rating, CU5 badge, LZKZ airport code, coordinates, screenshot and map links have all been preserved. Homepage search will also recognise both Košice and Kosice.

The community gallery collection has grown again, with another superb batch from @OliveAmoeba3772 now added directly to PG Explorer: 84 new screenshots across 21 landmark POIs.

COMMUNITY POI GALLERIES EXPANDED

📸 17 Community Screenshots Added Across Nine Explorer Landmarks

Another brilliant community screenshot batch has now been added directly to PG Explorer, bringing new gallery coverage to nine interesting landmarks that are not part of the public Official POIs or Sporting Venues lists.

@johnwhite supplied eight screenshots covering The Pentagon, Sacré-Cœur, Eye of the Sahara (Richat Structure) and the Sydney Opera House.

@SmootheryVase supplied nine screenshots covering Fly Geyser, the Pyramid of Djoser, the Taj Mahal, the Bent Pyramid and Chichén-Itzá.

Eight of the locations were already mapped in Explorer. The Eye of the Sahara has now also been added as a new Explorer-only Original POI. The reusable PG Explorer Gallery Data - Submissions module now contains 111 screenshots across 22 POI galleries, with the new landmark record included in PG Explorer v3.0.6.

HANDCRAFTED AIRPORT GALLERIES EXPANDED

✈️ 220 New Screenshots Added Across 30 Handcrafted Airports

Another major wave of official handcrafted-airport galleries has landed in the PG Hangar. A total of 220 new optimised JPG screenshots by Air Rhodessa have been added across 30 handcrafted airports, giving each completed airport its own lead thumbnail, visible screenshot count and full-size gallery.

The new galleries cover an enormous variety of flying, from major international hubs such as Los Angeles International, John F. Kennedy International, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Tokyo Haneda, Sydney and Cairo International, to dramatic mountain and island destinations including Tenzing-Hillary, Courchevel Altiport, Innsbruck, Paro International, Madeira and Juancho E. Yrausquin.

Together with the four airport galleries already completed, the handcrafted-airport showcase now contains 276 screenshots across 34 airport galleries. The first image from every new gallery is also used automatically as its thumbnail, making both the Official Collections and PG Explorer much easier to browse visually.

🇦🇺 Every WU21 Australia Official POI Now Has a Screenshot Gallery

The complete landmark collection from World Update 21: Australia (Second Edition) has now been photographed for the PG Hangar. A total of 146 new optimised JPG screenshots by Air Rhodessa have been added across 34 previously uncovered WU21 Official POIs.

The existing galleries for Busselton Jetty, The Big Orange and Troubridge Island Lighthouse have been preserved without duplication. Together, this means all 37 WU21 Official POIs now have a lead thumbnail and full screenshot gallery, containing 156 screenshots across the complete WU21 collection.

Highlights include the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre, Blowering Dam, CSIRO Parkes Observatory, Monarto Safari Park, The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, The Twelve Apostles, Willis Island Weather Station and Yarrawonga Weir Power Station.

The complete landmark collection from World Update 20: Japan has now been photographed for the PG Hangar. A total of 260 new optimised JPG screenshots by Air Rhodessa have been added across 95 previously uncovered WU20 Official POIs.

The existing five-image Osaka Castle community gallery by @johnwhite has been preserved without duplication. Together, this means all 96 WU20 Official POIs now have a lead thumbnail and full screenshot gallery, containing 265 screenshots across the complete WU20 collection.

Highlights include Bitchu Matsuyama Castle, Gifu Castle, Kurobe Dam, Matsue Castle, Sendai Dai Kannon, Tokyo-wan Kannon, Tsunoshima Bridge, Tsunoshima Lighthouse, Ushiku Daibutsu and the Umihotaru Symbol Tower.

Every completed gallery now supplies its first image as the card and Explorer thumbnail for faster visual browsing. The spelling of Tsutsuzqaki Lighthouse has also been corrected throughout the collection.

NEW FLAGSHIP TOOL NOW LIVE

✈️ The PG Hangar Adventure Builder Has Launched!

The biggest new PG Hangar feature since the PG Explorer Map and the optional account system is now live. The PG Hangar Adventure Builder turns the Hangar’s worldwide location database into complete personalised sightseeing flights.

Choose where you want to start, how long you have, your aircraft, desired altitude, route type and preferred airports. The Builder then connects suitable PG cities, Official POIs, National Parks, scenic AOIs, Sporting Venues and Tiny PG discoveries into a mapped route with an estimated distance, flight time and visual briefing.

It currently plans flights across 2,636 flyable PG Hangar locations and can choose from 83,046 airports, airfields, heliports and water aerodromes extracted from the MSFS 2024 scenery library. Airport choices are dynamically filtered and prioritised for helicopters, bush aircraft, gliders and general aviation.

Every adventure can be saved, shared, marked as flown and downloaded as an MSFS 2024 EFB-ready .PLN flight plan. Successful tests have confirmed that the complete custom route loads into the EFB and compatible Garmin avionics with all sightseeing waypoints and selected altitudes intact.

📸 Tunnel View Gallery Added to the Official Collections

A beautiful new community gallery has been added for Tunnel View, one of the most famous viewpoints in Yosemite National Park and an Official Point of Interest from World Update 22.

The gallery contains three new screenshots supplied by @johnwhite, showcasing the classic sweeping view across Yosemite Valley toward El Capitan, Half Dome and Bridalveil Fall.

Tunnel View now has its own lead thumbnail and full gallery in both the Official Collections and the PG Explorer Map. The reusable community Submissions module now contains 66 screenshots across nine WU22 Official POIs.

The completed galleries cover an incredible variety of South American landmarks, including bridges, forts, cathedrals, temples, museums, dams, lighthouses, observation towers, monuments, government buildings and spectacular natural locations across all four regions.

The complete landmark collection from World Update 18: Germany, Austria & Switzerland has now been photographed for the PG Hangar. A total of 240 new optimised JPG screenshots by Air Rhodessa have been added across all 113 current WU18 Official POI records.

The completed collection includes castles, palaces, mountain stations, alpine summits, dams, railway landmarks, suspension bridges, transmitters, cathedrals, monuments and scenic structures throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Highlights include Zugspitze, Jungfraujoch Railway Station, Matterhorn Glacier Palace, Hohenschwangau Castle, Linderhof Palace, Würzburg Residence, Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, Contra Dam, Pyramidenkogel Tower, Schönbühel Castle and many more.

The complete non-sporting landmark collection from World Update 16: Caribbean has now been photographed across the PG Hangar. A total of 192 new optimised JPG screenshots by Air Rhodessa have been added across all 81 WU16 Official POIs.

The galleries span islands and territories throughout the Caribbean, covering colourful waterfronts, historic forts, churches, palaces, bridges, hotels, monuments and a fantastic collection of coastal lighthouses.

❄️ All World Update 15 Official POIs Now Have Screenshot Coverage

The complete World Update 15: Nordics & Greenland landmark collection has now been photographed across the PG Hangar. A total of 118 new optimised screenshots by Air Rhodessa have been added across 82 newly completed WU15 Official POI galleries.

The collection stretches across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Greenland and the Faroe Islands, covering dramatic bridges, castles, churches, lighthouses, towers, Arctic research sites, royal landmarks and remote coastal structures.

Highlights include The Great Belt Bridge, The North Cape, Aurora Sky Station, Svalbard Global Seed Vault, Fredensborg Palace, Gripsholm Castle, Kalmar Castle, Dyrhólaey Lighthouse, The Arctic Henge, World Heritage Grimeton Radio Station and many more.

The complete non-sporting landmark collection from World Update 14: Central Eastern Europe has now been photographed for the PG Hangar. The completed collection spans Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia, covering castles, fortresses, churches, bridges, towers, monuments and historic city landmarks across the region.

Four standout official handcrafted airports have now been fully explored and photographed by Air Rhodessa, adding a brand-new collection of detailed airport galleries to the Hangar.

A huge thank you to @johnwhite for spotting that the copy-ready coordinates for Mount Fremont Lookout were pointing toward the Sunrise trailhead area rather than the actual lookout. The Google Maps link was already correct, but the displayed coordinates have now been corrected to approximately 46.93404, -121.67574 in both Official Collections and PG Explorer V3.

John has also kindly supplied 63 new screenshots across eight WU22 Official POIs: Mount Fremont Lookout, Needles District Visitor Center, Painted Desert Inn, Panther Junction Visitor Center, Perry’s Victory & International Peace Memorial, Point of the Arches, Ross Lake Resort and Saint Mary Visitor Center.

PG EXPLORER v3.0 LIVE

🗺️ PG Explorer v3.0 Launches with a New Modular Gallery System

The PG Explorer Map v3.0 is now live. Its screenshot galleries have been separated from the main map code into smaller, fail-safe data modules, keeping the Explorer lighter and making future World Update screenshot batches much safer to add.

The change preserves every existing gallery, thumbnail and contributor credit while moving 730 galleries containing 1,623 screenshots into the new modular system. Search, filters, map controls, the Ultimate Logbook, favourites, Flown, Want to Fly and cross-device account syncing all remain fully intact.

The launch also completes a previously missing World Update 1 screenshot batch: 50 Air Rhodessa screenshots across 20 Japanese Official POIs. New thumbnails and galleries now include Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Hashima Island, Himeji Castle, Hōryū-ji, Itsukushima Shrine, Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Gate Bridge and Yokohama Bay Bridge.

The Explorer remains at the same public address, so existing bookmarks and website links continue to work without any changes.

ACADIA UPDATED

🏞️ Acadia National Park Rated and Screenshot Gallery Added

Acadia National Park has now been fully updated in the National Parks & Scenic Areas section.

The park now includes a full 5-image screenshot gallery by Air Rhodessa, a copy-ready MSFS World Map coordinate button using 44.352643, -68.224610, and its first final PG Hangar rating.

Acadia has been rated 5/10. The coastal setting is pleasant and there are still some enjoyable sightseeing moments around Cadillac Mountain and Mount Desert Island, but overall the TIN quality is only average and there is not a huge amount to see compared with the stronger WU22 parks.

NEW WORLDWIDE LIST

🛩️ 2,070 Small Detailed Airports & Airfields Now Live

A completely new PG Hangar collection is now open, featuring the full MSFS 2024 detailed glider-airport package from around the world.

The list contains 2,070 unique airfields across 66 countries, with airport names and identifiers, simulator coordinates, elevations, runway lengths, surfaces and layouts, plus direct Google Maps access.

To keep such a large collection fast and easy to explore, every country is organised into its own expandable dropdown and the airfield cards use a compact, thumbnail-free layout designed for quick scanning.

Search and runway filters, Random Airfield, card and compact list views, Copy Coordinates, and Favourite / Flown / Want to Fly tracking are all included. Optional PG Hangar accounts can also keep saved progress synchronised between devices.

✈️ Combined Lists Split into Two Dedicated Pages

As the PG Hangar’s collections have continued to grow, the original Combined Lists page had become extremely large. To improve loading, navigation and overall usability, it has now been carefully divided into two dedicated pages.

All ten collection buttons remain available at the top of both pages, allowing visitors to move between every list without needing to return to the homepage.

Several large information panels have also been removed, credits have been moved into the relevant collection headers, and the unwanted page-jumping behaviour has been fixed.

📸 105 New Screenshots Added

The new Official Collections page has also received a major visual update, with 105 new screenshots and 35 Official POI galleries now added.

New Official Handcrafted Airports Library Added

A brand-new Handcrafted Airports list has joined the Combined Lists, giving the Hangar a dedicated home for the official airports specially modelled by Microsoft and Asobo.

All 173 official handcrafted airports from the PG Explorer Map are now organised by base simulator package, World Update, City Update and other official releases. Each entry includes the airport name, ICAO code, update badge, copy-ready simulator coordinates, Google Maps access and personal Favourite / Flown / Want to Fly controls.

The sections remain collapsed until needed, with search and filters making the full worldwide collection quick and easy to browse.

The new airport library is live in Combined Lists v1.6.25, with a dedicated homepage card opening it directly.

New Official MSFS POI Library Added to the Combined Lists

The Hangar now has a dedicated, scrollable library for the official sightseeing landmarks supplied with Microsoft Flight Simulator.

1,772 non-sporting Official POIs from the PG Explorer Map are now arranged into clear sections for World Updates 1–22, plus other official and unnumbered landmarks. The 83 official sporting landmarks already represented in Sporting Venues of the World have been left out to avoid duplicates.

Each POI includes its landmark name, World Update, copy-ready simulator coordinates, Google Maps access, search tools and Favourite / Flown progress controls. Sections remain collapsed until needed, making the very large collection much easier to browse.

The new library is live in Combined Lists v1.6.24, and a dedicated homepage card now opens it directly.

All 93 Sporting Venues Now Have Complete Screenshot Galleries

A major Sporting Venues of the World milestone is complete, with 271 new screenshots now added across the entire collection.

Every stadium, arena, cricket ground, motorsport circuit and winter-sports venue in the list now has its own lead image and clickable screenshot gallery. Together with the 27 images already present, the collection now contains 298 sporting-venue screenshots.

All 93 venues now include visible screenshot counts, dedicated gallery buttons and the full-size lightbox across Combined Lists v1.6.22 and PG Explorer Map v2.5.14. Individual venue results in the homepage search now display their lead screenshots too.

Every one of the 271 new screenshots was personally captured by Air Rhodessa while flying and documenting the complete sporting-venue collection.

Three New Arizona Scenic AOIs Added — All Rated 9/10

The old broad Coconino / Sedona scenic card has now been retired and replaced by three much more accurate Arizona Hi-Res Scenic AOIs.

The new entries are Sedona, Verde Valley & Oak Creek Canyon, Mogollon Rim, Payson & Tonto Natural Bridge, and West Clear Creek, Wet Beaver Creek & Fossil Creek — each personally tested and rated 9/10 by Air Rhodessa.

All three now include their own screenshot galleries, a shared new boundary-map link and full support across the Combined Lists v1.6.22, PG Explorer Map v2.5.14 and homepage search.

The Explorer now rises to 2,810 mapped locations, including 60 Parks & Scenic Areas and 12 Hi-Res Scenic AOIs.

PG Explorer v2.5.10 — Reliable PC, iPad & Phone Logbook Sync

Following invaluable three-device testing by @hairstreak62, the remaining cross-device Logbook issue has now been identified and corrected.

The PG Explorer and Combined Lists now use one unified account Logbook. Existing browser-only My Hangar selections are merged safely as additions, so an older device can no longer replace or remove places already stored by another device.

Signed-in pages now download fresh account data when opened, refocused or returned to, with an additional lightweight refresh while the page remains visible. This keeps Favourite, Flown and Want to Visit statuses much more dependable across PC, iPad and phone.

The reliability update is live in Combined Lists v1.6.18 and PG Explorer Map v2.5.10. Accounts remain completely optional and all public Hangar content remains free.

Stadiums Expands into Sporting Venues of the World

Thanks to a brilliant suggestion from @hairstreak62, the stadium collection has now been broadened into Sporting Venues of the World.

The list now covers stadiums, arenas, cricket grounds, motorsport circuits, winter-sports landmarks and other sporting POIs. It is also ready for racecourses and any other worthwhile sports locations discovered in future updates.

The first expansion adds 12 existing official MSFS sports POIs, growing the collection from 81 to 93 venues. New additions include the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Sydney Cricket Ground, Mount Panorama, Phillip Island, Bergisel Ski Jump and The Remarkables Ski Area.

The wider collection is live in Combined Lists v1.6.15 and PG Explorer Map v2.5.7, with new sports filters and all existing stadium galleries retained.

18 New Air Rhodessa Stadium Screenshots Added

Five original Microsoft Flight Simulator stadium landmarks now have complete screenshot galleries across Sporting Venues of the World and the PG Explorer Map.

The update covers AmericanAirlines Arena, AT&T Stadium, Borg El Arab Stadium, Beijing's National Stadium and Rungrado May Day Stadium.

Each location now includes a card thumbnail, a dedicated View Gallery button and the existing full-size lightbox. The batch contains 18 new screenshots in total.

Every Rated PG City Now Has an Air Rhodessa Screenshot

The final 51 screenshots have now been added for every rated 7/10 PG city, completing the last missing group across the Hangar's rated city collection.

All 302 rated PG cities now have their own screenshot across the MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020 Combined Lists and the PG Explorer Map.

The completed collection is live in Combined Lists v1.6.12 and PG Explorer Map v2.5.3. Phoenix uses the supplied not-PG image to document its current broken or missing photogrammetry state.

Every city screenshot in the complete rated collection was captured personally by Air Rhodessa — a huge milestone after months of testing, rating, mapping and flying.

Five New Scenic AOIs Tested, Rated and Added

A major Western USA testing session is complete, with five new Hi-Res Scenic AOIs now live across the Combined Lists v1.6.11 and PG Explorer Map v2.5.2.

San Rafael Swell, Snow Canyon & Red Cliffs, Vermilion Cliffs and Glen Canyon & Lake Powell have each earned 9/10. Cedar Breaks National Monument is rated 8/10.

Gooseberry Mesa & Canaan Mountain has also completed testing and is upgraded from Un-rated to 10/10. Full discovery credit remains with @Snowleopard3295.

All six locations now include 13 new screenshots by Air Rhodessa. Bears Ears and Grand Canyon–Parashant did not pass the test and have not been added.

The Explorer now contains 2,808 mapped locations, including 58 Parks & Scenic Areas and 10 Hi-Res Scenic AOIs.

34 New Landmark Screenshots Added Across Six Galleries

Six major landmarks have received complete new community galleries across the Combined Lists v1.6.10 and PG Explorer Map v2.5.1.

The update adds 34 new screenshots covering: Tower of London, Osaka Castle, La Sagrada Família, Christ the Redeemer, Torre di Pisa and Mount Everest.

Mount Everest has also joined the Explorer as a new un-rated Scenic Landmark, complete with its nine-image gallery and high-altitude flight guidance.

All 245 Tiny PG Locations Join PG Explorer v2.5.0

The complete Tiny PG Cities collection is now available on the PG Explorer Map, adding all 245 un-rated locations directly from the Combined Lists.

The expansion includes 207 Tiny PG USA locations and 38 Tiny PG World locations. They remain separate from the Hangar's 302 rated PG cities, so the main ratings and statistics have not been diluted or altered.

Tiny PG now has its own pink map pins, Show / Hide control, search-results category, Random Tiny PG discovery mode and My Explorer Logbook filter. Every location can be marked as Favourite, Flown or Want to Visit and links back to its matching Tiny PG list entry.

The Explorer now contains 2,802 mapped locations.

A separate Combined Lists fix also corrects the large screenshot viewer: it now displays each city's real rating instead of incorrectly labelling every image as a 10/10 PG screenshot.

New Hi-Res Scenic AOI Found South of Zion

Gooseberry Mesa & Canaan Mountain Scenic AOI has been added to MSFS National Parks & Scenic Areas and the PG Explorer Map v2.4.3.

This is a separate scenic area rather than part of Zion National Park. It covers the red-rock country around Gooseberry Mesa, Apple Valley, Smithsonian Butte and Canaan Mountain, with UT47 included as the suggested simulator starting point.

The new entry remains Un-rated until testing is completed, and its screenshot position is ready for an image to be added later.

Full credit goes to @Snowleopard3295 for finding and reporting this area. His discovery credit is displayed directly on both the National Parks card and the Explorer location card.

The Explorer now contains 53 Parks & Scenic Areas, including 5 Hi-Res Scenic AOIs.

Monument Valley Rated 10/10 — Hitting it out of the Park

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park is now fully listed across the Hangar and has received a final rating of 10/10.

Its iconic sandstone buttes, immense desert scale and unforgettable low-and-slow sightseeing have also earned it the Hitting it out of the Park Award.

The rating and award are now synchronised across the National Parks & Scenic Areas list, PG Explorer Map v2.4.2 and My Explorer Logbook.

52 New Screenshots Added Across 36 Hangar Locations

A major gallery expansion is now live across the PG Explorer Map v2.4.1 and Combined Lists v1.6.4, adding 52 new screenshots across PG cities, National Parks and official MSFS POIs.

Every one of the Hangar's 31 rated 8/10 PG cities now has its own Air Rhodessa screenshot, thumbnail and gallery in the Explorer and in both the MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020 list modes.

Zion National Park and Glacier National Park have received beautiful new screenshots from @oldradar, a new Hangar contributor. Zion's existing community image remains in place, with both contributors correctly credited.

@johnwhite has also supplied two images of The Big Orange, three of Uluru and all 14 Monument Valley screenshots provided — including John Ford Point, the Tribal Park Visitor Center and the Sitting Hen formation.

PG Explorer v2.4.0 — The Ultimate My Explorer Logbook

The PG Explorer has received its biggest account-feature upgrade yet. My Explorer Logbook has been completely rebuilt into a faster, cleaner personal dashboard that gives saved adventures far more room.

The top dashboard is now substantially more compact, while titles, location details, badges, descriptions and controls are larger and easier to read. Users can switch between the familiar Cards view and a new compact List view, and the preferred view is remembered on that browser.

New Logbook tools include Random Adventure, a visible Reset control whenever filters are active, improved searching and sorting, clearer progress statistics and reliable scrolling that no longer leaves cards partly hidden after changing views or filters.

The wider Explorer has also received a full visual-polish pass: a stronger search bar, clearer colour-coded category and rating filters, a more compact selected-location panel with larger screenshots, improved full-screen control grouping and larger, better-spaced search results.

All existing Favourites, Flown and Want to Visit places remain intact and continue syncing across devices for signed-in users. Accounts remain optional, and the entire Hangar is still completely free and open to everyone.

PG Explorer v2.3.3 — Six New Quality-of-Life Improvements

The PG Explorer has received another major usability polish, making it quicker and much easier to understand without changing its familiar map-first design.

The main toolbar now has a shorter search bar and a clearly visible Reset Map button, which clears the search and filters, closes the selected location and restores the full world view.

Five additional improvements are also now live: a small × search-clear button that leaves other filters untouched; a removable active-filter summary; new keyboard shortcuts; a Recently Viewed list remembering the last ten locations; and expanded sorting by alphabetical order, rating, nearest airport, location type or map-centre distance.

The new shortcuts are / to focus Search, Esc to close the selected location, R to reset the Explorer and F to fit the current results. Discovery also now includes Random Recently Viewed.

All saved-place syncing, My Explorer Logbook data, galleries, Sporting Venues of the World and existing location IDs remain fully intact.

Bryce Canyon & Crater Lake Receive 13 New Screenshots

Three more scenic locations now have full community gallery coverage across the PG Explorer Map v2.3.1 and Combined Lists v1.6.2.

The update adds six screenshots to Bryce Canyon National Park, three screenshots to the official Bryce Canyon Visitor Center POI and four screenshots to Crater Lake National Park.

Bryce Canyon and Crater Lake now open their galleries directly from their scenic location cards, while the Visitor Center POI is also available through the Latest Community Galleries collection.

Stadiums of the World Launches with 81 Venues

A completely new Stadiums of the World list is now live across the PG Explorer Map v2.3.0 and Combined Lists v1.6.0.

The new collection launches with 81 stadiums, arenas and sporting landmarks from around the world. It includes its own Explorer filter, Random Stadium discovery, direct map links, copy-ready simulator coordinates and the usual Favourites, Flown and Want to Fly controls.

Community screenshot galleries are already available for the stadium POIs in Atlanta, Miami and Mexico City, with many more venues ready to be explored.

A huge thank-you to @hairstreak62 for inspiring the idea. What began as a suggestion for a small sports-flying list immediately uncovered 81 stadium landmarks already waiting inside the Hangar.

37 New Community Screenshots & Four New Explorer POIs

A fresh visual update is now live across the PG Explorer Map v2.2.7 and Combined Lists v1.5.9j, adding 37 new screenshots across nine gallery subjects.

The new galleries cover the stadium POIs in Atlanta, Miami and Mexico City, plus Bora Bora, Mount Hood National Forest, Fort Knox, Zion National Park, the Zion Helicopter POI at UT70 and Kitakyushu Airport (RJFR).

Four new yellow Explorer pins have also been added for the three stadiums and the Zion UT70 helicopter starting point, while existing location cards now open their new community galleries and use the latest lead thumbnails.

National Parks & Scenic Areas Future-Proofed — Yellowstone Corrected

The Hangar's scenic TIN collection has been reorganised under one permanent MSFS National Parks & Scenic Areas heading. Instead of renaming or splitting the list whenever a new World Update arrives, each location now carries its own clear update or scenery-status label.

Yellowstone National Park has been corrected to Existing MSFS TIN · Not part of WU22. It was already available before World Update 22 and remains Un-rated while a fresh in-sim review is completed. Acadia National Park remains correctly tagged WU22 and Un-rated.

The homepage, Combined Lists and PG Explorer now agree on 50 scenic entries: 9 existing TIN regions, 37 WU22-tagged parks and 4 Hi-Res Scenic AOIs. National Park coverage buttons also now use the correct TIN Map wording.

All 41 Rated 9/10 PG Cities Now Have Screenshot Coverage

A major new visual update has landed across the PG Explorer Map and the Combined Lists, with screenshot galleries and visible thumbnails now added for every one of the Hangar's 41 rated 9/10 PG cities.

The final missing image for Vienna has now been added, completing the full 9/10 set in the Explorer and in both the MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020 Combined Lists. All screenshots in this batch were captured by Air Rhodessa.

The map positions for Bruges and Calgary have also been corrected so their Explorer pins and map links now point to the proper city areas.

A wider homepage search-data check was completed at the same time, correcting a few older location and coverage links while confirming that the National Parks and Scenic AOI ratings remain in step with the latest Combined Lists.

Acadia Added & Yellowstone Restored for Fresh Testing

Acadia National Park in Maine has been added as a new WU22 entry, while Yellowstone National Park has been restored to the wider scenic collection for a fresh in-sim review.

Both locations remain marked Un-rated while testing is completed. Yellowstone retains its existing Explorer screenshot; an Acadia screenshot and final ratings will follow after testing.

A later status audit confirmed that Yellowstone is existing MSFS TIN rather than WU22; the latest 15 July NOTAM above explains the corrected future-proof structure.

My Explorer Logbook Is Now Live

Signed-in users now have their own My Explorer Logbook, bringing all their personal PG Explorer progress together in one convenient place.

Your logbook displays the locations you have marked as Flown, Favourites and Want to Fly, making it much easier to review your adventures and decide where to explore next.

Changes made in the PG Explorer are automatically reflected in your logbook and securely synced across your devices whenever you are signed in.

Accounts remain completely optional and every PG Hangar map, list and Explorer feature remains free to use without signing in.

Optional PG Hangar Accounts Are Now Live

Visitors can now create a free optional account to permanently sync their Explorer favourites, flown places and want-to-visit list across their PC, phone and tablet.

Anything already saved in the browser is safely merged the first time a user signs in. Every PG Hangar page and list remains completely free and fully usable without logging in.

A special thank-you to @dxtr for asking whether this was possible and giving me the nudge to move it from a future idea to a live feature.

30 More PG Cities Now Have Screenshots

A further 30 rated 6/10 photogrammetry cities have now received new Air Rhodessa screenshots.

The images have been added to the PG Explorer Map and to both the MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020 Combined Lists, giving visitors a much clearer visual preview before choosing their next flight.

PG Explorer Map Galleries, Map Themes & Data Clean-up

Another major update has landed for the PG Explorer Map, with new screenshot galleries, improved map themes and an important National Parks data clean-up.

16 new community screenshots have been added across 11 locations, including the Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa, Lassen Volcanic National Park, several famous Paris landmarks and Hole in the Rock.

Paris now includes a seven-image POI gallery, while Lassen Volcanic National Park has received a new five-image gallery. Huge thanks to @johnwhite for providing this latest collection of screenshots.

Visitors can also choose between Detailed Light, Detailed Dark and Auto map themes, with their preference remembered automatically by the browser.

A full data check also uncovered and removed 11 older duplicated National Park records. The Explorer now contains 2,550 unique mapped locations, with the newer WU22 park entries, ratings, awards, coverage maps and galleries retained.

New POI, National Park & Airport Screenshot Galleries Added

Another large batch of in-simulator screenshot galleries has now been added to the PG Explorer Map.

Seven New Zealand POIs have received new galleries: Cape Brett Lighthouse, Cape Reinga Lighthouse, Kerikeri Mission Station, Waitangi Treaty Grounds, Hole in the Rock, WU7 Bay of Islands and Tiritiri Matangi Lighthouse.

New galleries have also been added for Capitol Reef National Park, Capitol Reef Visitor Center and the handcrafted EG78 Out Skerries Airstrip.

Gallery preview images now appear throughout the Explorer, including within search suggestions, the results list and the selected-location information panel.

PG Explorer Map — new Original POI galleries added

Seven more Original POIs have now been upgraded with screenshot galleries in the PG Explorer Map.

New gallery coverage has been added for Al Masjid an Nabawi, Masjid al-Haram, Axum Tsion St. Mary, Bahir Dar Stadium, FNB Stadium, Giza Necropolis and the Great Sphinx of Giza.

Each location now includes multiple in-simulator screenshots, making it easier to preview these landmarks before flying there.

PG Explorer Map — new POI screenshot galleries added

Another PG Explorer Map screenshot gallery update has now been added, continuing the rollout of visual references for handcrafted POIs and scenic points of interest.

New POI gallery coverage has been added for Skulptur i Pilane, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base / Aircraft Boneyard, Atomium Brussels, Le Bourget Museum, Moai Statues at Easter Island and Needles Lighthouse.

These additions help make the PG Explorer Map even more useful for discovering interesting POIs, landmarks and scenic locations directly from the map.

Another major PG Hangar screenshot batch has now been added, this time covering the full set of 5/10 rated PG Cities.

New single-image visual references have been added across the relevant MSFS 2024, MSFS 2020 and PG Explorer Map entries, helping make more mid-rated PG areas easier to preview before flying.

This batch includes cities such as Birmingham Alabama, Cologne, Dubrovnik, Düsseldorf, Halifax, Jacksonville, Ljubljana, Luxembourg City, Memphis, Nantes, Naples, Nashville, Portland Oregon, Salzburg, Tampa, Utsunomiya and Worcester Massachusetts.

A small follow-up fix has also been applied for Naples, Italy and Worcester, Massachusetts, ensuring both now display their thumbnails correctly.

These screenshots were captured by Air Rhodessa as part of the ongoing PG Hangar screenshot coverage project.

New National Park & POI screenshot galleries added

Another PG Hangar gallery update has now been added across the site, continuing the rollout of visual references for National Parks, scenic regions and official POIs.

New screenshot gallery coverage has been added for Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, helping showcase two more WU22 scenic locations with proper preview images.

The PG Explorer Map has also received new POI galleries for Painted Canyon Visitor Center, Troubridge Island Lighthouse, Busselton Jetty and Atacama Giant.

A small data fix has also been made for Nantes, France, correcting its map position so it no longer points to Montgomery, Alabama.

PG City screenshot coverage expanded — 3/10 and 4/10 cities added

Another PG Hangar screenshot batch has now been added, this time focusing on lower-rated 3/10 and 4/10 PG Cities.

New single-image visual references have been added for cities including Charleston, Charleston WV, Portsmouth UK, South Bend, Carson City, Christchurch, Cleveland, Colorado Springs, Davenport, Dayton, Durham / Raleigh, Ghent, Hamilton, Huntsville, Lubbock, Macon / Centerville, Midland / Odessa, Norfolk / Portsmouth, Oklahoma City, Palm Springs, Prescott, Shreveport, Southampton, Split, Tulsa, Victoria, Vigo, Visby, Wichita, Winnipeg and Winston-Salem.

These screenshots have been added across the relevant MSFS 2024, MSFS 2020 and PG Explorer Map entries, helping make even the lower-rated PG areas easier to preview before flying.

The USA PG City entries have also had a data cleanup pass, with US state names added across the lists and Carson City corrected to its proper Nevada location.

PG Explorer Map — new official POI screenshot galleries added

A new batch of official POI screenshot galleries has been added to the PG Explorer Map, helping give more handcrafted and scenic POIs their own visual reference on the site.

New POI gallery coverage has been added for Totem Pole POI, Tree of Utah POI, Old Faithful Inn POI, Our Lady of the Rockies POI, and Grand Coulee Dam POI.

These screenshots were captured by Air Rhodessa as part of the ongoing PG Hangar screenshot coverage project, gradually building out visual references for National Parks, scenic regions, PG Cities and official POIs.

Badlands National Park screenshot gallery added

Badlands National Park now has new screenshot gallery coverage on PG Hangar, helping show the park’s colourful eroded ridges, wide-open prairie scenery and rugged WU22 terrain detail.

The official WU22 White River Visitor Center POI has also been added to the PG Explorer Map gallery coverage.

Screenshot galleries expanded — Sequoia, Scotty’s Castle & 2/10 PG Cities

Another PG Hangar screenshot batch has now been added across the site, continuing the community gallery rollout for National Parks, POIs and PG Cities.

New screenshot coverage has been added for Sequoia National Park and the official WU22 Scotty’s Castle POI, with screenshots kindly supplied by @johnwhite.

The lowest-rated 2/10 PG Cities have also started receiving single-image visual references, including Baton Rouge, Columbia, Derby, Helsinki, Linköping, Lynchburg, McAllen / Brownsville, Nottingham, Paris and Texas City / Galveston.

This helps give even the lower-rated PG areas a quick visual reference while keeping the larger gallery treatment focused on the stronger showcase locations.

Community galleries + WU22 rating tweaks added

The latest PG Hangar screenshot gallery batch has now been added, with new gallery coverage for Rocky Mountain National Park, Everglades National Park, Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument and several WU22 POIs.

Badlands National Park has been raised to 8/10, and Everglades National Park has been raised to 6/10 after further community testing and screenshot feedback.

WU22 National Parks — final ratings now complete

The WU22 National Parks have now been fully tested and rated by PG Hangar after detailed in-sim checks.

New final ratings include Big Bend National Park at 10/10, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park at 10/10 with the Hitting it out of the Park Award, Canyon de Chelly National Monument at 10/10, and Canyonlands National Park at 10/10 with the Hitting it out of the Park Award.

The National Parks list has also had a small layout polish pass, with cleaner award spacing, improved flag alignment and more level screenshot thumbnails across the park cards.

PG Hangar Galleries — full-size screenshot viewer added

The PG Hangar screenshot galleries have been updated again. Clicking the main gallery image now opens a much larger full-size preview, making it easier to appreciate the community screenshots in detail.

The larger viewer is now available for the current gallery locations, including Grand Teton, Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, Arches, Mount Rainier, Lake Quinault Lodge and Grand Prismatic Spring.

Arches National Park has now been rated 10/10 and awarded the Hitting it out of the Park Award.

WU22 National Parks — major ratings batch added

A large new batch of WU22 National Parks has now been tested and rated on the Hangar, with the National Parks list and homepage search updated to match.

Lassen Volcanic, Joshua Tree, Guadalupe Mountains and Capitol Reef have all been rated 10/10 and awarded the Hitting it out of the Park Award.

New 9/10 ratings have also been added for Kings Canyon, Great Basin and Crater Lake, with more WU22 parks now rated from 6/10 to 8/10 as testing continues.

PG Explorer Map v1.5.7 — National Parks ratings added

The PG Explorer Map has now been updated again so the map pins and cards match the latest WU22 National Parks ratings.

The v1.5.6 Mobile Lite Mode is still retained, so phones and tablets keep POI pins hidden by default for smoother browsing, while desktop users still get the full Explorer Map experience.

PG Explorer Map v1.5.4 — Airports, POIs and copy coordinates now live

The PG Explorer Map has now been updated to version 1.5.3, with official MSFS handcrafted airports added alongside PG Cities, National Parks, Scenic AOIs and the full MSFS POI set.

The map now includes 2,557 mapped entries: 302 PG Cities, 58 Parks, 4 Scenic AOIs, 2,020 MSFS POIs and 173 handcrafted airports.

A new Airports toggle has been added, the header now uses a rotating scenic background, and every map popup now includes copy-friendly coordinates with a Copy coords button.

This means visitors can now quickly copy coordinates for PG Cities, POIs, Handcrafted Airports, Parks and Scenic AOIs directly from the Explorer Map.

PG Explorer Map v1.4 — Full MSFS POI map now live

The PG Explorer Map has now been updated to version 1.4, turning it into a much bigger MSFS discovery map.

The map now includes over 2,300 mapped entries, including rated PG Cities, National Parks, Hi-Res Scenic AOIs and a huge collection of MSFS Points of Interest.

A new POI Source Filter has also been added, letting you view All MSFS POIs, Original POIs, All World Update POIs, or filter down by individual World Update such as WU21 Australia or WU22 USA Parks.

This should make it much easier to discover new places to fly, explore official POIs, and plan low-and-slow routes across the simulator.

PG Explorer Map v1.2 — Official WU22 POIs added

The PG Explorer Map has now been updated to version 1.2, with all 46 official World Update 22 POIs added as searchable map pins.

POIs now appear as yellow pins, alongside the existing category colours: blue for PG Cities, green for National Parks and purple for Hi-Res Scenic AOIs.

New map filters have also been added, letting visitors show or hide PG Cities, National Parks, Scenic AOIs and Official POIs separately, making the map much easier to explore as the Hangar grows.

More WU22 National Parks ratings added

More WU22 National Parks have now been tested and rated on the Hangar. Mt Rainier National Park has been rated 10/10 and awarded the Hitting it out of the Park Award.

New ratings are also live for Wind Cave National Park at 8/10, Theodore Roosevelt National Park at 7/10, Sequoia National Park at 7/10, Saguaro National Park at 9/10, Redwood National Park at 6/10, Pinnacles National Park at 8/10 and Petrified Forest National Park at 7/10.

The old duplicate U.S. park entries have also been removed from the homepage search database, so those parks now appear through the WU22 National Parks entries only. The former Existing Parks area is now treated as International Parks & Scenic Regions.

PG Explorer Map v1.0 is now live

A brand-new PG Explorer Map has been added to the Hangar, bringing rated PG cities, National Parks and Hi-Res Scenic AOIs together in one custom interactive map.

Click a pin to view the PG Hangar rating, airport, description, Google Map link, PG/TIN map link and a direct jump back into the Combined Lists entry.

This is version 1.0, so more polish, filters and pin improvements will follow — but it is already a brilliant new way to discover somewhere new.

Grand Staircase–Escalante Scenic AOI added

A new Utah entry has been added to the National Parks & Hi-Res Scenic AOIs list: Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument.

It has been rated 10/10 and awarded the Hitting it out of the Park Award for its huge desert terrain, canyon routes, cliffs, mesas and superb low-and-slow VFR potential.

The homepage search database has also been updated, and the Hangar scenic count now shows 8 International Parks & Scenic Regions, 36 WU22 National Parks and 4 Hi-Res Scenic AOIs.

National Parks layout refreshed — Hi-Res Scenic AOIs added

The National Parks area has been cleaned up into clearer sections: International Parks & Scenic Regions, WU22 National Parks and the new Hi-Res Scenic AOIs section.

Marble Canyon Scenic AOI, Coconino National Forest & Sedona Red Rock Scenic AOI, Navajo Nation / Four Corners Scenic AOI and Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument now sit inside the Hi-Res Scenic AOIs section.

The homepage now shows the refreshed scenic count clearly: 8 International Parks & Scenic Regions, 36 WU22 National Parks and 4 Hi-Res Scenic AOIs.

Coconino National Forest & Sedona Red Rock Scenic AOI added

The Hangar’s National Parks / Hi-Res Scenic AOI list has gained a new Arizona entry: Coconino National Forest & Sedona Red Rock Scenic AOI. It has been added with a thumbnail, Google Map link, WU22 TIN coverage map and an initial 7/10 rating.

The homepage search has also been updated so the full National Parks and Hi-Res Scenic AOI set now appears directly from the main Hangar search bar.

National Parks update — first Hitting it out of the Park Awards added

The first official WU22 National Parks ratings are now live. Grand Canyon National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Zion National Park, Yosemite National Park and Rocky Mountain National Park have all been rated 10/10 and awarded the new Hitting it out of the Park Award.

This special award is reserved for the very best scenic parks, forests, monuments and protected areas on the Hangar — places that go beyond a normal 10/10 for scenery, terrain quality, exploration value and pure wow factor.

National Parks cards cleaned up and WU22 thumbnails added

The National Parks cards have had another visual tidy-up. The repeated park logos have been removed, the park titles now sit centred and clearer, the WU22 and rating pills are easier to spot, and the screenshots now take the lead as the main visual feature.

All WU22 National Park cards now have thumbnails, with the card layout adjusted so the images line up more cleanly across each row.

WU22 National Parks now listed — un-rated for now

The full World Update 22 National Parks collection has now been added to the National Parks section. Each new WU22 park entry includes map links, WU22 TIN coverage maps, nearest-airport info, fauna highlights and a new Flight Experience route to help pilots start exploring straight away.

These new WU22 entries are marked as un-rated for now. Final PG Hangar ratings will be added later once each park has been properly checked inside Microsoft Flight Simulator.

03 JULY

WU22 National Parks testing is underway

World Update 22 has added a huge new wave of National Parks and scenic areas to explore, so PG Hangar testing has now begun. This will not be a quick overnight job: map locations, coverage maps, screenshots, route notes and the new National Parks Flight Experience ratings will be added in stages as each area is checked.

A brilliant helper add-on by Jimcat14 has also been linked from the National Parks list. It adds easy-to-find in-simulator POI markers for large photogrammetry and scenic areas, making the new WU22 parks much easier to locate, explore and build flights around inside Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Practically Geek video picks added to selected PG list entries

Selected Practically Geek videos are now viewable directly from the relevant PG Hangar list cards. Where a Practically Geek airport, city pack or scenery video matches a PG city or national park entry, a new video box now appears on that card with direct links to the related videos. This makes it easier to check out useful companion videos while browsing the PG lists, especially when looking at recommended airports, city packs or nearby scenery that can improve the flying experience. Current linked areas include New York City, Frankfurt, Orlando, Hobart, Canberra, Adelaide, Christchurch, Toowoomba, Townsville and Yosemite National Park.

New PG Light Lab added

PG Light Lab is now live on the Hangar. This new visual test page looks at how photogrammetry changes depending on season, time of day, sun angle and flight direction in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The first tests compare Chicago, Sydney and New York City in summer and winter, flying both toward the sun and away from it. The aim is to help pilots find better-looking light for PG flying, especially when colours look too bright, flat or washed out. A new PG Light Lab card has also been added to the homepage tools section, with a link available from the Maps dropdown in the main navigation.

Community Legends expanded — Practically Geek videos added

The Community Legends section has been expanded with a new collection of Practically Geek videos linked to PG Hangar flying. Relevant videos covering recommended airports, city packs, scenery add-ons and visual showcases are now gathered together in one place, making it easier to find useful companion content for the PG cities featured across the lists. If you are planning your next photogrammetry flight, looking for a better nearby airport, or checking which scenery packs can improve a city experience, the Practically Geek page is now a handy extra stop inside the Hangar.

New Add-on Reviews Added

The PG Add-ons Hub has been updated with new Impulse Simulations airport reviews. Now added: • YBDG Bendigo Airport • YBUD Bundaberg Airport • YCFS Coffs Harbour Airport • YSBK Bankstown Airport • YPAD Adelaide Airport These are great companion airports for several of the WU21 Australian photogrammetry areas, giving Bendigo, Bundaberg, Coffs Harbour, Adelaide and the wider Sydney region better places to start or finish a flight. The Combined Lists have also been updated so these add-ons now appear directly on their matching city cards. More add-on reviews will continue to be added as the PG Hangar expands.

Hobart rating adjusted to 7/10

Hobart has been rechecked and adjusted from 8/10 to 7/10 in both the MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020 PG lists. It is still a really scenic place to explore, with great hills, water, bridges and natural surroundings, but the photogrammetry quality is just not quite as crisp as first rated, so the score has been brought down to better match the PG Hangar rating standards.

Thumbnails added to the 10/10 entries!

The MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020 PG lists now have a new viewing system. You can choose between Default List, Basic List, and PG Map Thumbnails. The Default List now includes screenshot thumbnails for selected 10/10 PG cities, giving the very best-rated locations a more visual showcase. The Basic List keeps things clean with no thumbnails, while PG Map Thumbnails shows the PG coverage map style view. 10/10 city screenshots can also be opened in a larger view, and the Flight Experience panels now include a visual banner plus PG map reference where available.

PG Add-ons Hub upgraded!

The PG Add-ons page has had a full redesign to make it much easier to use. Developer reviews, recommended scenery, store links and Browse by Location are now laid out in a cleaner, more user-friendly way. It should now feel much more like a proper PG Hangar showcase hub — easier to search, easier to explore and much nicer to use on mobile too.

MT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK ADDED! 🏔️

Mt Rainier National Park has been added to the National Parks section, bringing the scenic parks library up to 26 entries. It is a very hi-res Washington park with stunning mountain detail, sharp ridges, glacier valleys and superb low-and-slow VFR scenery. A Google Map and Hi-Res Terrain Map button are included on the park card.

PG Hangar update

The main Combined Lists now handle search, filters, ratings, Gold Standard tags, maps and city data from one shared source. The homepage has also been tidied, the Help & FAQ prompt now sits neatly inside the search panel, and rating mismatches where MSFS 2024 showed below MSFS 2020 have been corrected.

17 JUNE

DULUTH COMPLETES THE CU15 PG LINE-UP! 🇺🇸

Duluth, Minnesota is the final City Update 15 photogrammetry city to be added to the PG Hangar lists. It enters at 8/10 in both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020, with crisp PG, excellent roads, rivers and bridges, a distinctive Lake Superior waterfront and Gold Standard status for the quality of its photogrammetry buildings.

NATIONAL PARKS FACELIFT! 🏔️

The National Parks section has received a major visual upgrade, with new in-sim thumbnails added to every park card, improved flight-sim descriptions, compact wildlife highlights, corrected ICAO airport codes and direct links to recommended enhancement packs. The cards have also been redesigned to match the MSFS 2024 and 2020 lists, making the whole section cleaner, easier to browse and much more visual.

CU15 RATINGS UPGRADED — MINNEAPOLIS, ST PAUL & MILWAUKEE 🇺🇸

Following their major City Update 15 improvements, Minneapolis & St Paul have risen from 7/10 to 10/10, while Milwaukee has jumped from 5/10 to 10/10. Both upgrades apply to MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020. All three cities now receive Gold Standard and Mega City status thanks to their vastly improved PG quality, expanded coverage and excellent exploration value.

CHICAGO UPGRADED! 🇺🇸

Chicago has been upgraded from 7/10 to 10/10 in both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020. Following the CU15 improvements, Chicago now also receives the prestigious Gold Standard badge — a huge upgrade for one of the simulator’s greatest skyscraper cities!

New City Update 15 PG coverage maps are now available for Chicago, Madison, Minneapolis & St Paul, and Milwaukee.
